FAQ

What is MCP?
Model Context Protocol is an open protocol that AI apps use to connect external tools. Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and VS Code connect MCP servers by URL; the AstraGPT URL is https://astragpt.net/mcp.
How much does it cost?
The same as on the website: generations are paid with AstraGPT credits. The AI gets the price before starting, and credits are charged only for a finished result. Free daily images do not apply through plugins.
Do I need a paid Claude or ChatGPT plan?
It depends on the app: custom MCP servers are not available on every Claude and ChatGPT plan. In ChatGPT, until AstraGPT is listed in the app directory, you need developer mode.
Where are the results saved?
In My works of your account, together with what you made on the website and in Telegram. There are no watermarks: you can download the file or hand it to the AI for the next step.
What can a connected app see?
Only what you allowed: generation with your credits and, if you allowed it, your media library. It cannot see or change website chats, payments or account settings.
How do I revoke access?
On this page, in Connected apps, click “Disconnect” — access is revoked immediately.
Is it safe?
Sign-in goes through astragpt.net with OAuth: the app never gets your Telegram data, we store access keys only as hashes, and access is revoked with one button.
