DeepSeek is a family of models from the Chinese company of the same name. The AstraGPT chat has DeepSeek V4 Flash, V4.1 Flash and V4 Pro. V4 Flash works on every plan, including Free, and doesn’t switch off when your chat limit runs out: it has its own daily allowance.

DeepSeek versions

  • DeepSeek V4 Flash — keeps working when your chat limit is used up: it has its own daily allowance, which resets at 00:00 Moscow time. Thinking: high or very high.
  • DeepSeek V4.1 Flash — newer, with three thinking levels, and it understands photos. Chat limit usage ×0.2.
  • DeepSeek V4 Pro — the senior model for code and math. ×0.08.

Good to know

  • DeepSeek V4 Flash and V4 Pro don’t understand photos. For a question about an image, pick V4.1 Flash or another model, such as Gemini.
  • Web search works with DeepSeek too: for questions about recent events it turns on by itself.
  • Chats are saved and shared between the site and the Telegram bot.

“Server is busy” and other limits

The “server is busy” and “too many requests” errors come from DeepSeek’s official chat. In AstraGPT, DeepSeek models are connected through an API, and the rules here are our own: a chat limit set by your plan, and a daily allowance for V4 Flash once that limit runs out.

Is DeepSeek free?
Yes. DeepSeek V4 Flash works on the Free plan even after the chat limit runs out, within a daily allowance. V4.1 Flash and V4 Pro are open too, but they use the chat limit.
Do I need to download an app?
No. The chat works in the browser on a phone or a computer, and in the @AstraAgents_bot Telegram bot.
Why can’t DeepSeek see my photo?
DeepSeek V4 Flash and V4 Pro work with text only. DeepSeek V4.1 Flash and most other chat models understand photos.
Do I need a DeepSeek account or API key?
No. You log in to AstraGPT with Telegram; you don’t need a DeepSeek account or your own API key.
Is this the official DeepSeek website?
No. DeepSeek models come from the company of the same name; AstraGPT is an independent service that gives access to them in its chat.
How many messages can I send?
While your chat limit lasts — as many as your plan’s limit allows. Once it runs out, DeepSeek V4 Flash keeps answering until its daily allowance is used up; the site shows when it resets.
